This location is part of my Middenheim Project. The original description can be found in Ashes of Middenheim (p.23). Father Albrecht is NPC that can be used to interact with the characters during their investigation in the Paths of the Damned campaign or for any adventure you run on your own.

Black Industries’ Marienburg page has been updated not so long ago. They addded, and I quote: “a look at the criminal underworld of Marienburg, an the men whose unenviable task is to try and fight it. The League of Gentlemen Entrepreneurs is the organised gang that manages a wide variety of criminal activity in the city. The Suiddock Ward Barracks and Watch Post and Jail are also examined, as well as the Knights of Purity, who sometimes take justice into their own hands“. Have a look at this if you haven’t yet!
The information bellow is part of my Middenheim Project. The original location is described on page 24 of Ashes of Middenheim. Here is the profile of Aktmar Konigsamen, one of the teacher of the Collegium Theologica. He can be use in the beginning of the campaign when the PCs are investigating there.
I must admit I am quite inspired by the Marienburg pages of Black Industries’ website. The fact that it is in constant development makes it even more interesting. A few days ago, they added even more characters. Since I will soon run the first part of the Paths of the Damned campaign to new players, I decided I could make the city of Middenheim more complete. Don’t get me wrong. There’s a good deal of background and information in the first part of Ashes of Middenheim on the city of Ulric, but a GM can always use more. For example, some locations name the owner, but there are no NPC profile, personality and background. I also want to add some adventure seeds for people who want to add small quests to the main plot or simply run them outside of the big campaign.
You will find the Middenheim project in a new page I just created. I will post new information on some existing locations or create new ones and will add the proper link in the Middenheim page for easy access. As always, feel free to leave comments!
The 4th May 2007, Black Industries announced that they would put online some revamped content on the great port of Marienburg. The original content was first published in the White Dwarf magazines, in a series of articles. A couple of days ago, they have been updating the Marienburg page. You can find a large version of the following map on their website.
The new addition this week is, and I quote, “The Riverman’s Association, The Brotherhood of Seamen and Pilots, The Board of Trade Equity and the Wasteland Import Export Exchange”. If you haven’t seen the Marienburg project, you should definitely have a look. This location is a great place to create your own adventures if you like city intrigues, seamen, beer and whisky atmosphere.
The cover of The Thousand Thrones is now official and can be seen in Black Industries’ forthcoming products section. Rumors in BI forum talk of the men on the cover as being Sigmarian Flagellants. Part of this huge campaign would take place in Kislev and the other part in Marienburg. Make sense to me. This campaign will surely use content from the Realm of the Ice Queen and the Tome of Salvation.
